Welcome to the Historical Whittier Blvd which serves as a corridor running through East Los Angeles and was the site of the Legendary cruising down Whittier Blvd in a Low-Rider. back in the day, but even today  you can see them cruising at any given time cruising down the Blvd.

East Los Angeles has been an unincorporated part of Los Angeles first Established in 1924.

Five Time Champion "The Golden Boy" Oscar De La Hoya who hails from East Los Angeles and who attended Garfield High School here is shown serving as The Grand Marshal of the annual 

East Los Angeles Christmas Parade. 

WWII Veteran Vince Sotelo opened Los 5 Puntos back in 1974 and it has served the residence of East Los Angeles ever since

The Rivalry between Roosevelt and Garfield High Schools is the biggest and longest standing high school rivalry in the nation and is hosted at East Los Angeles Colleges Weingart Stadium, and yes, that is over 22,000 parents, students, and alumni who fill this stadium every year to watch the game.

All athletes must complete the minimum of 32 Athletic Training and Conditioning classes and Weight Training and Nutrition Program for their sport within a 6 month time period prior to the beginning of League play to be eligible to compete in the League.

Upon completion of the requisite classes, all athletes will have a final evaluation  by their instructors and must demonstrate a minimal level of proficiency and all athletes will be assessed using a multi-criteria based on a rubric that clearly defines  levels of fitness and skill for their sport..

All athletes must complete and pass a written exam that will assess their knowledge of the rules and procedures of the game. All athletes must demonstrate that they are clear on the rules of the game and safety before they will be allowed to compete in the League.

Two months prior to to beginning of the League play, all athletes must visit with their physician and pass and provide proof of a yearly physical that clears them to participate in the sports program they will be competing in.

All athletes must provide proof of health Insurance before the beginning of League Play. No athletes will be allowed to practice or play in any games until they have met this requirement.

League fees vary depending on the sport you are competing in. The League fees include rental of equipment, practice and game fields, Instructors, Athletic Trainers, and sports equipment *This does not include supplies such as and adhesive tape, each athlete must provide their own if they wished to be taped.
